Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
1 John 4:1
My friends, we are living in an extremely deceptive day. Not only are these times deceptive, but filled with people who are extremely naive and suceptible to the lies in the world, as well as in the church. If not for the knowledge that these are signs of the last days, it would be frightening to witness what is transpiring in our age. It would seem the majority are prone to the deceptive lies of Satan. Lying politicians are believed, lying preachers are believed, and those who dare to tell the truth are scorned. Only by the grace of God can the true man of God proceed forward in such a dark, wicked, sin-stained world. Because men refuse to believe in the one true Christ displayed in Scripture; they are proned to believe anything else. I marvel at those who would believe in space ships and aliens; yet refuse to believe in a Creator, angels, devils, and Satan. Many false prophets lived and preached in John's day. That has not changed! The professing church, particularly in America has been swamped by hucksters masquerading as God's servants, and robbing God's people, while many true works of God suffer with financial needs. How tragic it is that God's people have so been led astray by spirits.
