"And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God."
Revelation 19:13
Jesus came the first time "meek and lowly." He came as one willing to be born in a manger, one who had "no place to lay His head," and as one who would ride on a lowly beast such. That's a far cry from many of those who proclaim His name today, and yet promise the best of both worlds. The word of God makes it clear; He has promised to return and will certainly fulfill His promise to believers and unbelievers. He is coming back with clothes that have been dipped in blood, and He will be known as "The Word of God." He will return with the power of judgment, as a man of war. He is returning with the will and power to recompense men for their deeds, whether good or bad. He is returning to smite the wicked, to confine those whose names are not written in the book, and to reward those who have truly received Him by faith and demonstated such faith by righteous actions. Which side of eternity will you be found in when the final page is consummated?
